Dénia joins the Sustainable Gastronomy Week promoted by the FAO’s World Food Forum

The Sustainable Gastronomy Week promoted by the FAO’s World Food Forum kicks off!

From June 16 to 22, young chefs from around the world will showcase the power of gastronomy to drive positive change in agrifood systems.

In Dénia, the restaurant La Xerna de Mar is preparing the menu “Roots and Tradition,” which includes dishes such as:

  • Shrimp doughnut with chard

  • Bombón rice variety with vegetables

  • Llandeta made with discarded fish

  • Pumpkin and chocolate sweet

These sustainable dishes, devised by Belén Escrivá, highlight the use of local ingredients. Nominated by the Office for Innovation and Creativity of the Dénia City Council, Belén is one of 70 young chefs selected from around the globe. Congratulations!
