Bancalet is already regulated and is starting to move

The plenary session of the Dénia City Council has unanimously passed the BANCALET brand regulation, which can be used by all farmers, food sector processor agents, hoteliers, merchants, artisans and tourist companies that grow, use or promote products grown or made in the Marina Alta region.

BANCALET draws the line that the Dénia City Council adopted when it accepted the challenges and commitments when entering into the UNESCO Creative Cities Network, the Milan Food Policy Pact, the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs, and comes to join the circular economy policies defined by the European Union in directives or initiatives such as Green Deal or Farm to Fork.

The regulation has been based on adapting and researching successful practices in similar projects, from other UNESCO Creative Cities and national territories, which have launched recognized product or food promotion brands.
