SENSIO, "Made in La Terreta"

SENSIO, “Made in La Terreta” is the brand of a project that uses the family name to recognise and highlight the value of traditional weaving of palms, a practice that has been the cornerstone of the culture and economy in the town of Gata and the Marina Alta region for generations. Through workshops, demonstrations, fairs and markets, we can learn about the history of fan palm leaves —from harvesting to crafting— and see the final result, discovering the wide range of possibilities and designs that such a natural fibre offers.

The project also aims to recover and acquire old pieces, tools and techniques in order to share and preserve the tradition of a craft deeply rooted in our territory.
