Miel Montgó

Honey

Miel Montgó is a project built on a clear concept of beekeeping: caring for our bees to produce a distinctive and truly unique honey. Our hives are located on the former farmland of the Monastery of the Order of Saint Jerome, within the Montgó Natural Park. The Montgó Mountain -having the greatest biodiversity in Europe- is surrounded on three sides by the Mediterranean Sea and packed with a very special flowering of local species.

Our main activity is the production and marketing of 100% organic natural honey by using traditional methods. We collect and handle honey from our cherished bees through sustainable methods.

We make our honey available to the public through local direct sales in several gourmet shops and other local businesses, as well as online or through direct contact with the company.

By carrying the Bancalet seal and the artisanal product certification of the Natural Parks of the Valencian Community, it guarantees quality, environmental respect and sustainability.

We also offer apitourism routes, an activity that allows the public to immerse themselves in beekeeping. We take advantage of the surrounding environment to introduce our visitors to the fascinating world of bees. They enjoy a pleasant walk in nature, learning about Montgó Mountain’s botany, the historical significance of the landscape and beekeeping practices, and visiting our bees closer, finishing the experience with a delicious honey tasting.
