Defangcuit ceramics by Cristina Pedrós

Defangcuit is a pottery workshop dedicated to produce artisanal ceramics, where every piece is handcrafted and completely unique. I develop my own glazes, ensuring that each creation is truly special. Through my work, I aim to convey my deepest values, shaping earth, water, air and fire, while exploring form and space.

I use natural minerals, oxides, plants, stones, rocks and sand from our local beaches—gifts provided by nature. My surroundings, my roots, our traditions, and the scents and flavours of the Marina Alta are my inspiration.

My dedication to craftsmanship is also recognised by two official distinctions: the Bancalet brand and the Artisan Licence of the Valencian Community.

I run workshops to teach processes and techniques of ceramics, highlighting its benefits for well-being and mindfulness. I also take orders for bespoke pottery, including tableware and decorative pieces.
